BSNL Q4 Results: State-owned telecom company BSNL reported a profit of Rs 280 crore in the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2025. This marks the company’s second consecutive profitable quarter. The company announced this information on Tuesday. In the same period last year, BSNL had posted a loss of Rs 849 crore. Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told reporters, “For the first time in 18 years, BSNL has recorded net profit for two consecutive quarters. This is not just operating profit or positive margins—it is the second time since 2007 that the company has posted net profit on a quarterly basis.” BSNL had earned Rs 262 crore in profit in the third quarter.
BSNL stated that with profits in two consecutive quarters, its loss for the fiscal year 2025 has reduced from Rs 5,370 crore in fiscal year 2024 to Rs 2,247 crore. BSNL Chairman and Managing Director A Robert J Ravi said, “This rapid turnaround is the result of professional management, government support, and consistent focus on both top-line and bottom-line growth. BSNL is not only being revived but also redefined.”

In fiscal year 2025, BSNL’s operating revenue rose by 7.8 percent, from Rs 19,330 crore in fiscal year 2024 to Rs 20,841 crore. Ravi added that with disciplined cost control and swift 4G/5G deployment, BSNL is confident about maintaining this growth trajectory and providing affordable, high-quality connectivity to every Indian. “We are not merely chasing profits as our ultimate goal. We aim to redefine telecom excellence in public service.”
Ravi further said, “When we consistently do the right things—deliver excellent service, reach the underserved, and innovate to serve everyone—profit naturally emerges as a byproduct of that excellence.”
