Reliance Jio Starlink Deal : Internet connectivity is getting a new dimension in India. Airtel had joined hands with Elon Musk’s company SpaceX and now Reliance Jio has also joined hands with Starlink. Under the deal, SpaceX will launch Starlink satellite internet service in India.

Under the agreement, Reliance Jio will offer broadband services across the country. In remote areas of India and in rural areas where there is still no access to the internet. Jio has said that this agreement will give the company a new identity. Jio will be able to provide reliable internet service to all industries, small and medium-sized businesses and other similar business groups across India.

Commenting on the agreement, Mathew Oommen, CEO, Reliance Jio, said, “Our goal is to provide high-speed broadband service at an affordable price to every person in India, no matter where they live. According to Economic Times, Jio Platforms can make available all the connected devices of Sterlink with the help of its online store front along with its retail outlets across the country.
Airtel And Starlink Services
Elon Musk’s Starlink service is set to launch in India, marking a significant expansion for the company. Earlier, Musk’s electric vehicle company Tesla had also started its plans to set up showrooms in the country. Now, Airtel has announced a partnership with SpaceX to offer Starlink’s high-speed internet services across India.

In a joint statement, Airtel and Starlink said that the two companies have officially signed the deal on March 11. However, once all approvals are in place, Airtel will roll out Starlink satellite internet services in India. This partnership is India’s first collaboration with Starlink and aims to enhance internet connectivity across the country.

The launch of Starlink service is expected to transform internet access in India. The partnership between Airtel and SpaceX will not only provide high-speed internet but also explore ways to connect schools and health centres.
Bharti Airtel Managing Director and Vice Chairman Gopal Vittal expressed excitement about this new partnership with SpaceX. “The introduction of Starlink services in India represents our commitment to deliver next-generation satellite connectivity technology.
Airtel already has a partnership with Eutelsat OneWeb, which provides satellite internet services. The addition of Starlink will provide more options to customers and improve the quality of services in remote locations. This move is in line with Airtel’s goal to cater to the diverse needs of customers across the country.
By leveraging Starlink’s technology, Airtel aims to expand its network capabilities and provide reliable internet access even in remote areas. As India’s largest telecom company, Jio Infocomm currently dominates the market. However, Airtel’s partnership with SpaceX can give a tough fight to the competitors.
Airtel and Starlink are working on bringing high-speed internet to India. However, the company will start Starlink’s service only after it gets all the regulatory approvals in India.
