The Laadli Bahena Yojana was launched in Maharashtra. This scheme is also known as the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Under this program, eligible women beneficiaries receive financial assistance of ₹1,500 every month. So far, 10 installments of this scheme have been distributed, and women are eagerly awaiting the date for the 11th installment. The scheme began in July 2024, and since then, lakhs of women have benefited from it.
Meanwhile, there is good news for women in Maharashtra. The state government has announced that under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, women will now not only receive financial aid but also have access to loan facilities. This will enable women in the state to start their own businesses. The scheme is modeled after Madhya Pradesh’s ‘Laadli Bahna’ program and was launched in Maharashtra in 2024. It marks a further step toward making women financially self-reliant.
Women Beneficiaries to Receive Loans up to ₹40,000
According to a report published in Marathi Gold, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar shared this information at an event held in Nanded district, Maharashtra. Pawar stated that the government will soon launch a new scheme under which female beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Yojana will be eligible for bank loans of up to ₹40,000. How Women Can Obtain the Loan Ladki Bahin Yojana
- Women will need to apply for the loan at the relevant bank.
- While applying, they must provide information about their business.
- The monthly installments of the loan will be repaid from the ₹1,500 they receive under the scheme, ensuring there is no additional financial burden on the women.
Conditions to Qualify for the Loan
- The applicant must be between 21 and 65 years old.
- The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra.
- The annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Women who own a car or have a family member employed in a government job are not eligible for this scheme.
